Meet the Team
We want to build a thriving, inclusive Australian screen industry where crew are supported to do their best work.
We like long walks along the beach (with our dogs), cups of tea, and swims in the ocean.
We REALLY like what we do

Nerida is a highly experienced Assistant Director with 20 years in the film and television industry. She’s worked on more than 30 major productions, including Elvis, The Great Gatsby, Top of the Lake, Unbroken, and Pirates of the Caribbean, earning a reputation for calm, kind leadership and strong crew relationships.
In recent years, Nerida expanded her focus into industry development — designing and delivering practical training to support and strengthen below-the-line crew. She held the role of Industry Programs Coordinator at Screenworks and teaches the AFTRS Onset Onboarding course.
In 2024, she co-founded Generate Crew to bring structured, on-set training and support to productions. Based on the Gold Coast, she draws on long-standing relationships with local crew to shape programs that reflect the real working conditions and culture of the region. Her deep ties to the community ensure that every initiative is industry-informed, practical, and people-focused.
That same year, she was awarded the Natalie Miller Fellowship for emerging female leaders in screen, recognising her work in inclusive leadership and crew development. Nerida continues to work actively on large-scale features to stay ‘match fit’ and industry aware.

With over 20 years in the screen industry, Louise built her early career in production across the UK and Australia. Working across commercials, long-form film, factual and scripted television, she gained a practical understanding of how productions operate and what crews need to do their best work.
She later joined Screenworks, where she spent seven years working as part of their small team including as Industry Development Manager. During that time, she designed and delivered talent development initiatives for regional Australian screen practitioners at all career stages, including short film programs, structured crew traineeships, mentoring initiatives and targeted professional workshops.
In late 2024, Louise co-founded Generate Crew on the Gold Coast, bringing together her hands-on production experience and workforce development strategy to design crew support programs that work for both productions and the crew. Fairness and kindness sit at the core of her approach, and her strong industry relationships across Australia allow her to move easily between set and strategy, ensuring each strengthens the other.
She also tries hard to live up to the version of herself her dog already thinks she is.
